We wrote these in plain language because a document you can't read is a document you can't agree to.
Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Cubic Reader, Inc.'s reader applications and services ("Cubic," "we," "us"). By installing the iOS app, using the web reader at app.cubic.com, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Your account
You are responsible for your account credentials. We don't store your password; authentication uses Sign in with Apple, Google, or passkeys. You can close your account at any time from Settings → Account. We'll delete your subscription data within 30 days.
Content and sources
Cubic displays content from third-party publications via RSS, Atom, and JSON feeds. We don't own, edit, or moderate that content. Publishers retain all rights to their work; Cubic is a reading surface, not a republisher.
We do cache article text and images for offline reading. This cache is private to your account and is evicted when you unsubscribe.
Blends and subscriptions
Blends are lists of feeds assembled by Cubic's editorial team. We may add, remove, or re-tag sources within a blend without notice. If a feed goes offline, we'll remove it within seven days.
You can subscribe to any blend for free on the Starter plan (up to three blends). Pro unlocks unlimited blends, full-text search across your library, and neural narration.
Payment and refunds
Cubic Pro is $4.00/month or $36.00/year, billed through Apple (iOS) or Stripe (web). Refunds are handled by the original payment processor per their policies.
Privacy, briefly
Your subscriptions, reading history, saved articles, and highlights are end-to-end encrypted and stored on your device and in iCloud. Cubic's servers hold only your email, subscription tier, and an anonymous user ID. For the full story, see our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
Cubic is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms; when we do, we'll email subscribers and post a notice on cubic.com. Substantive changes take effect 30 days after notice.
